Henkel Teroson PU 8597 HMLC Direct Glazing Adhesive black 310ml

Henkel Teroson® PU 8597 HMLC​ (known as Terostat 8597™ HMLC) is a 1-component direct glazing adhesive used for windscreen replacement where a solid safety guarantee is required.

Applications

• Bonding of front, rear, and side windows into car, truck, bus, and special-purpose vehicle bodies
• Bonding of side windows made of single-pane or insulating glass in bus and rail coach manufacture
• All applications requiring very high electrical insulation for bonded windows (e.g., adhesives compatible with aerials)

Features

• Extremely good sag resistance
• High elasticity and shear modulus
• Excellent adhesion to glass, ceramic-coated glass, and painted surfaces (with primer Terostat-8517 H)
• High curing rate and UV resistance (with primer Terostat-8517 H)
• Very low electrical conductivity
• High tensile shear strength even after aging

Technical Data

Processing Instructions

• Substrates must be clean, dry, and free from oil, dust, and grease
• For glass, ceramic-coated glass, or painted surfaces: clean with Cleaner FL
• Prime surfaces with Terostat-8517 H (wet layer approx. 0.05 mm) and let evaporate 15 min
• For windows with PUR-based pre-coating: apply Terostat-8525 activator, wait 15 min, then apply Terostat-8597 HMLC
• Apply using manual or pneumatic cartridge guns (Telescope Pistol Power Line Art.-Nr. 141.84 S, Staku manually-operated Pistol Art.-Nr. 167.65 Y)
• Recommended operating pressure for Telescope Pistol Power Line: min. 8 bar
• Glazing time for vehicle use (US FMVSS 208): with airbag 2 h, without airbag 1 h

• Application guns: manual (WEICON 10000441), pneumatic (LOCTITE 97002)
• Nozzles: standard nozzles (8 cm), long nozzles 175 mm
